she had sensed the girl from when she first stepped foot in the woods, "you are the only other human that has ever found my meadow." she stated without opening her eyes.

"I tend to do that a lot, well other peoples hiding places." she smiled sitting.

Spottedheart took Dusk to Lovestar. "She's here." she murmmered.

Spottedleaf led Lovestar to the kitten.

Dusk sat in the center of camp looking around. Her dark pelt was odd against the light ground. She suddenly felt out of place.

"I'm not." she smiled. "We just came here and I sensed other cats and something pulled me here." she smiled.

"we know, that's how it always happens"

"interesting, very interesting" said Faye

"What happens?" she asked.

"Yea." she smiled.

"you get called to our clan because you are in the pressence of a talker" she said "it is very common"


"what is your name?" she said, still not opening her eyes.

"Arianna, Ari for short though." she said sitting.

"Ari?" She smiled, "So i can talk to her."

"yes, she can here you. but first you need to complete the bond with this new knowledge. however you may not tell her, it is not your place."

"Arianna, pretty name. I am Faye, call me Faye" she smiled, and she finally looked over at ari "tell me about yourself" she said standing up. she was wearing a soft kelly green t-shirt dress with spaghetti straps and an embroidered top, she was wearing silver greek sandals too.

"I decided to move to a small town." she said standing, her light orange summer dress falling down to her knees. She had on sandals, and her silver necklace glimmered in the sun.

"What's that?" Dusk asked.

Spottedheart sat.

"your bond? it is the special connection you have with the talkers. Trained talkers and animals can trigger it when they sense eachother, but no one can do anything unless they achieve their first bond. It is crucial if you wish to converse with others."

"it is very nice here, you'll like it alot." she smiled "what of your family?"

"Back in Cincinatti... Well my sister is." she said looking down. "Yours?" she asked.

"Well I want to talk to her." she said happily.

Spottedheart giggled to herself.

"it's just me and my father, he owns the hardwear store. He's your typical small town business man" she smiled to herself "so your here by yourself?"

"you will be able to, but not until Arianna learns of her gift. You are not to tell her, it is harder for humans than animals."
